28 Weeks

I had a check up this week and another glucose tolerance test. The check up went well, everything measuring fine, and Emma's heartbeat in the 140's. Hopefully they'll call with my glucose test results tomorrow. Will is doing well, talking bunches and learning new stuff every day. He impressed our friend at dinner tonight by reading the letters off the menu. He just really loves his letters!

Jered was out of town Mon-Wed this week and when Will and I were driving around, Will told me "Jered's at work." I said, "What was that honey?" He said, "Jered's at work Mama." I started laughing. Then he said, "Mandy!" I asked him if I was Mandy. He giggled and said, "No, you're Mama!" He's also been saying, "Mama, you're funny" a lot this week. Not sure when I became a comedian, but he sure seems to think I'm entertaining!

27 Weeks - Will singing at church

The 2's and 3's Sunday School class sang a couple of Easter kids songs at church today. You can actually hear Will pretty well on this one, so I thought it would fun to share. He is standing by one of his best friends, Hannah (the girl to his right), and I think they sound so cute! He loves singing in the front because then he gets to be on the stage like mommy.

Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum

Tuesday we went to the Midway. It was a beautiful day (although a little hot, the breeze on the boat was great). I had not been since I was about 6 mos pregnant with Will, so he had never been at all. Will and Jered were in hog heaven with all the jets. Will kept saying, "More jets Daddy, more jets!" You can see his little pointer finger permanently extended in the photos, "What's this? This way, this one!" His favorite was a helicopter that he could climb in and out of. Apparently he went in and out about 20 times - according to Jered. Mommy was sitting on a deck chair in the breeze! We ate lunch there on the lower deck outside, then went back up to the top deck to hear the Air Force brass ensemble that was playing that day. It was a really great day!

26 Weeks

We're enjoying a Monday-Saturday (Jered's actually home from work!) so I have time to put up a blog. The best news since my last post is that Jered passed his Chief's exam again and made board. His score improved 10 pts and he is one of only 12 AT1's at I level in the FTS program (country wide) to make board. He also had the third highest test score. Yay for Jered!

The baby is doing well, lots of kicking and moving. Our next appointment is March 30. Will is getting excited about the baby. Yesterday I was shopping with our friends Sara and Ella. I said, "Will, where's Mommy's baby?" He pointed at my tummy and said, "Right there!" I asked him "Is is a brother or sister?" He told me, "Sister!" So then we asked him "What is sister's name?" and he said, "Emma! Sister Emma!" He even named his littlest car "Baby Sister Emma car." It's really really cute and I'm glad he's excited.

He's such a sweet, thoughtful boy and solicitious of Mommy. He asks me "Is Mommy sick? Mommy's okay?" and says, "Mama's sleepy" and pats my back. The other day when we were eating lunch, he accidently kicked my foot under the table. He said, "Sorry Mama. Is Mama hurt?" I told him, "No honey, it's okay. I'm not hurt. You are very sweet." He replied, "Okay, Mama happy! Will happy!" So so precious. He's also so friendly to everyone we meet. Last night we went to Red Robin. We sat at the top of the stairs and he greeted everyone that came up the stairs with a Hi! and a really big smile. He also has started saying his own prayers before nap and bedtime. He says, "Thank you Jesus Hannah and Hailey and Kendra and Geoffrey and Ella and Rylan....and ummm...Daddy at work and jets and trains....and uh ummm...Monkey Gym...Uggy and Max and Mama..." and whatever else we did that day. It's hard to not crack up and it's so cute.
The picture of Will is him enjoying a Frosty. Our after-gym treat on Wednesdays is to pick up Wendy's on the way home. He loves his icecream!

24 Weeks

This week we had a few friends over Sunday night to celebrate my 28th birthday. Jered will be out of town next week on my real birthday, so we had a cook out this weekend. It was a fun night!

I had a check up at the OB this last week and everything is going very well. I got more Zofran for nausea and also had another Glucose Screening (diabetes test) - which I passed, again! I was very happy to be able to eat a real sugar cake (made and decorated by my loving hubby) for my birthday!

Edit: Well, Jered's trip was cancelled, so we got to go out to dinner for my birthday. Kendra watched Will, so we went to Outback and then had dessert at Cheesecake Factory. Afterward, we walked to B&N's and I got a new book. Great date!
